The Wormy Curly Yellow Ambrosia Maple Custom Snare Drum

This 6.75x12” custom handcrafted snare drum is built from 100% Wormy Curly Ambrosia Maple wood staves. The grain is oriented so that there’s a continuation of pattern. Most of the smaller worm holes were filled in but some of the larger worm holes were left open to add a bit of dryness to the overall sound.

As for the finish, I applied yellow dye and topped is off with high gloss, super durable polyester clear coat. This drum has:

• offset 45 degree bearing edges.

• a 0.45” thick stave shell

• dual point low antiqued black brass lugs with brass shavings in resin at the contact points, handmade for Seven Six Drum Co in Serbia

• black nickel triple flanged hoops and tension rods

• 20 strand snare wires

• Antiqued black brass handmade throw off and butt plate

• Matching air vent grommet

• Remo heads.

This drum has been sold, but I can create another for you just like it or customize it to your liking
