The Wormy Curly Yellow Ambrosia Maple II Custom Snare Drum
This 6.75×14” custom handcrafted snare drum is built from 100% Wormy Curly Ambrosia Maple wood staves. The grain is oriented so that there’s a continuation of pattern. Most of the smaller worm holes were filled in but some of the larger worm holes were left open to add a bit of dryness to the overall sound.
As for the finish, I applied yellow dye and topped is off with high gloss, super durable polyester clear coat. This drum has:
offset 45 degree bearing edges.

black nickel triple flanged hoops and brass tension rods
25 strand snare wires
