This 7.5x14” custom handcrafted snare drum is built from 0.67 inch thick Bubinga wood, a very hard African exotic wood. This custom snare drum has 6 ply wood hoops - the inner and outer plies are Hard Curly Maple, and the 2nd, 4th and 5th plies are African Bubinga. There’s also an African Bubinga inlay on the outer portion of both shaped hoops. I topped it off with 6 coats of durable and beautiful hand-rubbed oil in a gloss finish. This custom snare drum has a huge tuning range and is a beautiful example of figured exotic wood.
