This 10×4” custom snare drum is built from Chinaberry wood that was harvested directly from a Chinaberry tree here in New Orleans that was knocked down by Hurricane Ida in 2021. Chinaberry is a bit softer than hard maple and has REALLY cool figuring. This is just about the MOST New Orleans drum I’ve built - wood from New Orleans that came about as a result of a hurricane in New Orleans.. This drum has a gloss 2K polyester finish. This custom snare drum has a huge tuning range and is a beautiful example of figured exotic wood.
