The Green Bayou Custom Stave Snare Drum
This 7.5x14” custom handcrafted snare drum is built from 100% Louisiana Sinker Cypress staves. I added an aqua-green stain and I topped it off with a crystal clear, glossy, glassy, pricey, pretty, durable polyester clear coat. Instead of filling them in with resin, I left a few of the deeper portions of figuring intact to give the shell a rustic cypress feel. This custom snare drum has a huge tuning range and is a beautiful example of Sinker Cypress.
