This 6×14” custom handcrafted snare drum is built from 100% solid Curly Purpleheart wood staves. Purpleheart is an exotic hardwood that has a gorgeous tone with sensitivity and attack.
As for the finish, I applied 2 cots of super durable cutting board wax matte clear coat. This drum has:
dual offset 45 degree bearing edges.
a 0.60” thick stave shell
black nickel tube lugs
black nickel diecast hoops and tension rods
25 strand snare wires
Black Trick throw off and butt plate
Matching air vent grommet
Remo heads.
