This 4.125x10 inch custom handcrafted snare drum is built from 100% solid Padauk wood staves. That lovely color and figuring is not a veneer, it’s through and through Padauk. Padauk is an African wood that is incredibly hard - about 50% harder than maple, but has a much more complex grain structure and red appearance. It is finished in pretty, pricey, durable high gloss polyester.
