This 7×14” custom snare drum is built from solid staves of Patagonian Rosewood, aka Curupay. On a hardness scale (called the Janka Scale) of 0-3800, this wood comes in at a whopping 3650! It is an EXTREMELY hard and extremely exotic wood that comes from Argentina. This drum has 8 coats of hand-rubbed oil semi gloss clearcoat and roundover to 30 degree bearing edges. This custom snare drum has a huge tuning range and is a beautiful example of figured exotic wood.
