This 6.50×13” custom handcrafted snare drum is built from 100% solid Purpleheart wood staves. Purpleheart is an exotic hardwood that has a gorgeous tone with sensitivity and attack.
As for the finish, I applied a high gloss, super durable 2K acrylic clear coat. This drum has:
roundover to 45 degree bearing edges.
a 0.50” thick stave shell
single point low mass brass lugs with brass shavings in resin at the contact points and a one-of-a-kind patina, handmade for Seven Six Drum Co in Serbia
