This 6.5x14” custom handcrafted snare drum is built from Zebrawood. This exotic wood has a hardness similar to hard maple, but has a much more complex grain structure and appearance, similar to a zebra’s stripes. I added a navy blue dye to the exterior, which, when combined with the natural amber of the Zebrawood, created a beautiful color palate I’m calling “Planet Earth”. I topped it off with a crystal clear, glossy, glassy, pricey, pretty, durable polyester clear coat. This custom snare drum snaps, crackles, and pops, and is a gorgeous addition to any drum kit.
