The PureSolid Mango Drum No. 2

This 5.5×14” custom true solid Mango snare drum shell is very unique as it is carved from a single solid log of highly figured Indonesian Mango. This drum is not made of an individual board that has been steam bent or multiple thin plies or 20 individual staves…this is literally a piece of wood that existed as a tree that has been put on a massive lathe and slowly carved into a cylindrical shape. This is an EXTREMELY expensive process and only 4 or 5 builders build true solid snare drum shells. This drum is a collaboration piece with Y&T Drums in Indonesia. This custom snare drum has a huge tuning range and is a beautiful example of figured solid Mango.
