The Bolivian Rosewood and Purpleheart Custom Snare Drum
This 5x14” custom handcrafted snare drum is built from 16 staves of 0.5 inch thick Bolivian Rosewood (aka Morado), a very hard South American exotic wood, and 4 Purpleheart staves, one in the 12 o’clock, 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock, and 9 o’clock positions. I topped it off with 8 coats of 2K Polyester high gloss finish. This custom snare drum has a huge tuning range and is a beautiful example of figured exotic wood.
